Welcome to my modest art gallery. I lead a very busy lifestyle between my work life and my assortment of other interests and responsibilities. This hurried and often time limiting activities can cause me much tension and stress. When this occurs I like to retreat to my little art studio. This is my haven for loosing myself in one of my passions, my art work.
I cannot remember a time in my life where I was not drawing or sketching something. As a child my crayons were my favorite thing. My mother can testify to this. There were many of my original art works drawn right on the family home walls. As a child, I never understood why they did not leave them up there, they were all beautiful in my eyes! Then I was introduced to paper, the walls could not handle anymore crayon murals.
Later in my teen years, my parents nurtured this passion for drawing by channeling my interest into some art classes. In high school, I took three years of commercial art and seriously considered this as a career. However, my calling was stronger in my need to care for others and enrolled in nursing school. My interest in the arts has never wavered and is an ever-present influence in my life. My primary mediums of choice are charcoal, watercolors, conte, and pencil sketching. My love for wildlife and animals in general has definitely influenced my choices of subjects.
I hope you enjoy viewing my art gallery of images as much as I enjoyed creating them.
