This annual award will commence for the calendar year 2005, and onward. The purpose and process for selection of the recipient of this award are very simple as outlined below.

The Purpose

The "Best of the Best" of our award winners will be chosen in each calendar year who best exemplifies the definition of our mission statement. All WTA winners (Platinum and Gold winners) will be eligible to compete for this annual award.

The Process

The evaluators of Casey's Celtic Charm Awards will pre-screen all potentially eligible sites. This is done to ascertain whether they have maintained their winners' status, continue to meet the posted criteria, have no disqualification points as posted on site, and continue to comply with our terms of use agreement.

After this pre-screen process has been determined and completed, the list of candidate sites is forwarded to the guest panel of judges no later than Dec 30. The review will now become an independent process, which will not include our regular site evaluators. We feel this is important, as we are removing any possible biases from previous evaluations done throughout the calendar year.

The SOTY evaluations will begin January 1, and will be completed within a three-week time line. The SOTY winner will be announced at the end of the final week of January of each calendar year.
