The day of arrival now upon us, and we could not wait for his flight to come in. We were smiling so much our faces ached. While sitting in the waiting room for Colby's flight, a small tear streams down my face. Odd behaviour I know, but I could not help but think back to another time 13 years earlier waiting for Casey's flight. I assure you, the tears were happy ones and I'm feeling fortunate enough to be experiencing this again.
Finally, we see the kennel with this tiny little puppy within. Our hearts full, emotions brimming, and yes a few more tears. Again, these were happy tears and we could not wait to finally meet this little puppy and show him so much love. As was true with our first sight of Casey, the same overwhelming feeling of love at first sight overcame me with my first glimpse of Colby. We were concerned about how he tolerated his 3-hour flight, but this was short lived. As soon as I opened the kennel door, he leaped into my arms, licked my face repeatedly as if to say, "Hi There, How do you like me so far!" David had two cameras at hand to snap photo after photo documenting this happy occasion. Ten minutes after Colby's arrival, we called the breeder to let her know Colby was home and ready to start finding his way.
